R&D Marine 4" Solid Half Coupling Pilot Bored

This solid half coupling is machined from solid steel and mates with the gearbox output coupling to connect a boat propeller shaft to the gearbox, usually via a flexible coupling. This solid half coupling is pilot bored and needs to be machined to suit the boat propeller shaft diameter.

Typical applications include:

4" nominal gearbox flanges of PRM, Borgwarner Velvet Drive, ZF, Hurth and Technodrive gearboxes.

Coupling dimensions:

a - Flange outside diameter = 4.00"

b - Hole pitch circle = 3.25"

c - Number of holes = 4

d - Hole size = 10mm

e - Register diameter = 2.50" male

f - Coupling length = 2.16"

g - Coupling boss diameter = 2.25"

h - Pilot bore diameter: 16.5mm (for customer machining to parallel or taper as required.)
