Maestrini DZR Water Intake Scoop (Full Slot / 2" BSP)

Maestrini scoop strainer made from corrosion resistant brass (also known as CR Brass or DZR), with a full slotted grating. This scoop is designed for raw water intake systems, such as those used in static intakes like toilets and gensets. It fits through the hull with the grating on the outside and the male threaded pipe leading inside, usually to a valve to open and close the intake.

The scoop grating can be secured to the hull using a marine sealant and is also fixed with a brass locking nut and washer.

Important note: All fittings used for through hull applications must be correctly electrically bonded to ensure protection from electrolytic corrosion. DZR is suitable for below waterline through hull applications.
