The Jabsco 17938-0001 flexible neoprene impeller has 12 impeller blades and is suitable for use with Volvo Penta D12 and D13 engines, and the following Jabsco pumps:

- Jabsco 29830-0001 and 29830-0101 pumps

- Jabsco 50570-0001 pumps as fitted to Volvo Penta D13 engines

- Jabsco 50680-0031 pumps as fitted to Volvo Penta D13 commercial engines

- Jabsco 50500-0001 pumps as fitted to Volvo Penta D16 engines

The Jabsco neoprene flexible impellers are used for pumping fresh or salt water. Neoprene impellers are the most commonly used material and is suitable for use where only small amounts of oil or diesel fuel are present.

Jabsco flexible impellers are subjected to rigorous quality processes to ensure reliable, efficient and long lasting performance.

You should replace your flexible pump impellers at least once every year or sooner depending on use. When the installation is correct an impeller may last for several years, but it is always advisable to stick to a schedule of preventative rather than corrective maintenance.
