The Bowman FH440-3404 engine mounted header tank is suitable for Ford 2700, Ford 2710 and Ford 2720 series engines such as Ford 2711, 2712E, 2713, 2714, 2715E, 2722, 2723 and 2725 engines. The header tank features an aluminium LM6M body, a cupro nickel tubestack and naval brass end covers with 32mm raw water input and output connections. The Bowman header tank measures 438mm long, 248mm high and has M8 x 12 fixing holes.

Bowman recommend NOT fitting zinc anodes because the tubes used in the construction of the heat exchangers are copper-nickel alloy, and as such they do not require a zinc anode. It is possible that if a zinc anode is fitted it can actually destroy the copper-oxide film built up by the tube as a natural defence, which can allow the tube material to be attacked.
